Asura - Parajiton Ki Gatha : Ravan Va Uski Praja Ki Kahani

This is the Hindi version of the book, Asura, the debut novel written by Anand Neelakantan.
Summary of the Book
Asura tries to break the commonplace drill of history being narrated by the winners. Asura attempts to recount the tale of the Asuras. Combining religion, mythology, and history, Asura describes the stories from Ravana and Bhadra's viewpoints. It tells how the Asuras were indeed more liberal than the conformist Deva community, which was highly discriminatory. From the stories of Vamana, Mahabali and Sita’s Agni-Pareeksha, to Jatayu’s meeting with Ravana, the author unveils all the human emotions behind these stories and rationally presents a new standpoint for the readers. Published in the year 2012, Asura has topped several bestseller lists, including the prestigious 2012 Crossword and the bestseller list of CNN-IBN.
